Don is a native of South Florida and resides in Miami. His love of photography began as a love for travel; he has always had an affinity for exploring and experiencing new lands and cultures. His good friend routinely encouraged him to “buy a camera” and bring it with him on his travels; Don eventually caved in and got a small Sony. He fell in love with the camera and the combination made for a great marriage. Don quickly upgraded to a professional caliber Sony Full Frame and consumed thousands of pages of books and research on photography to teach himself how to make more compelling images. Don attended the University of Miami and Wake Forest University School of Law and, in addition to being an award-winning photographer, has been a full-time member of the faculty at the University of Miami since 2008, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate business courses. When he is not teaching or traveling, Don loves to root for the University of Miami Hurricanes and Miami Heat as well as play with his beagles Maddie & Ruby.
